Deep Follower Board

This deep follower board has the same shape as a regular deep frame, but instead of foundation, includes a piece of plywood. The follower board is used to take up space in the hive. It is used in pairs by removing one frame and placing follower boards against both outside walls of the hive and will help bees maintain brood temperatures and aid in ventilation.

For use with deep hive bodies only. Frames and boxes not included.

The follower board flat side faces the brood area. The bar side sits against the hive body and creates a 3/8" gap for the bees to access. This "bee space" isn't filled with comb or sealed with propolis. The follower board dimensions are:

• Board is 9 1/8" high and 17 3/4" wide
• Top bar is 3/4" wide, 3/4" high and 19" long
• The bottom bar is 3/4" wide, 3/4" high and 17 3/4" long
• The board is 3/8" thick.
• Distance between top bar and bottom bar is 7 5/8"
• Board weight: 1 1/2 pounds
